Shootings in central Paris and explosions near the Stade de France, rocked the French capital where scores of people were reportedly killed, many more wounded and at least 100 taken hostages inside Bataclan theatre. Three blasts took place in the proximity of Stade de France where President Francois Hollande was watching the friendly football match between France and Germany. According to official reports, the President was evacuated by the security services and taken to safety.

At the same time, at least three other shooting incidents were reported nearby Fontaine au Roi, Charonne and Bataclan.

Various French media outlets claim that at least 129 people lost their lives in what appears to be coordinated armed attacks.

At least one shooter opened fire with an automatic gun at the Petit Cambodge restaurant in the 11th district. A BBC reporter at restaurant said he could see 10 people on the road either dead or seriously injured.

He added that police arrived and sealed off the area.
