Serena Williams allegedly found positive during doping test at 2016 Rio Olympics, Russian hacking group unveil

Shock-waves are about to hit the global sports as news that Serena Williams, Simone Biles and other US athletes were allegedly caught doped at the Olympic Games in Rio and covered up by medical certificates, just broke out.

Great names such as Williams sisters -Serena and Venus-, gymnast Simone Biles and basketball player Elena Delle Donne would have been tested positive in anti-doping checks carried out at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Furthermore, the American athletes would have shown medical certificates as excuse for using banned drugs, and would now be protected by the World Anti-Doping Agency and Court of Arbitration for Sport (WADA-CAS), according to the Russian hackers who broke into WADA website.

The revelations, which could shake up seriously the world of sports, were made by the “so-called” international hacking group Anonymous “Fancy Bears”, most likely the same hack team that made disclosures about Hillary Clinton who used private email server for official communication.

“Greetings citizens of the world. Allow us to introduce ourselves… We are Fancy Bears’ international hack team. We stand for fair play and clean sport. We announce the start of #OpOlympics. We are going to tell you how Olympic medals are won. We hacked World Anti-Doping Agency databases and we were shocked by what we saw. We will start with the U.S. team which has disgraced its name by tainted victories. We will also disclose exclusive information about other national Olympic teams later. Wait for sensational proof of famous athletes taking doping substances anytime soon, according to a brief message posted by Fancy Bears on their website.”

The group posted information on their Twitter page and own website as well. It reveals several screenshots of the data allegedly taken from WADA’s website that shows list and details of American athletes who were allegedly found guilty of using banned athletic performance-enhancing drugs – commonly known as doping.

Leaked data shows that, Simone Biles, 4-times gold medalist in Rio, used amphetamines (methylphenidate), Serena Williams, the greatest female tennis player of all time, oxycodone, hydromorphone, prednisone and other substances, while Delle Donne would have used amphetamines and hydrocortisone.

The subject of medical certificates used by athletes to explain abnormal level of substances that fall under the incidence of World Anti-Doping Agency, is controversial.

There were past cases when athletes were pardoned after submission of medical documents, but there were also situations when they were give significant suspensions, an important example here being the case of Maria Sharapova who received a 2-year suspension after testing positive for meldonium at the Australian Open 2016. However, Sharapova appealed the decision and will find out in the first week of October if her two-year doping ban will be overturned, says the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Most cases of medical justifications for banned medication are recorded with the International Gymnastics Federation. This forum seems to endorse athletes who claim to have taken controversial drugs for therapeutic purposes. As for Williams sisters, WADA can consider them exceptions if they benefit of a drug approval notice from the International Tennis Federation.

WADA Confirms Attack by Russian Cyber Espionage Group Fancy Bears!
“The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) confirms that a Russian cyber espionage group operator by the name of Tsar Team (APT28), also known as Fancy Bear, illegally gained access to WADA’s Anti-Doping Administration and Management System (ADAMS) database via an International Olympic Committee (IOC)-created account for the Rio 2016 Games. The group accessed athlete data, including confidential medical data — such as Therapeutic Use Exemptions delivered by International Sports Federations (IFs) and National Anti-Doping Organizations (NADOs) — related to the Rio Games; and, subsequently released some of the data in the public domain, accompanied by the threat that they will release more”.
