Austrian athletes Bernadette Schild and Janine Flock received kidnap threats in Sochi, Russia, just three days before the start of the Winter Olympics!
A threatening letter addressed to members of the Austria Olympic Committee arrived in Sochi on Tuesday, when Vladimir Putin made a working visit to the resort that is going host the Winter Olympics which are scheduled to kick off over three days.
The letter was unsigned, but Russian Caucasus Islamist groups had previously threatened to commit attacks on Sochi Olympics, which begin on Friday.
According to the Austrian Olympic team, the letter targets two of its competitors.
